Q: What is the difference between a thread and a post on the forum?

A: A thread is the topic of discussion. A post is the chat taking place within the thread.

For example, you will find an area on the forum called "Buying Union and American Made Products", inside is a thread called "Looking for an American made light bulb", and posts within that thread are specific to where an American made light bulb might be purchased.
